The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 49-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor is a gorgeous gaming monitor that is perhaps overkill for many. It comes with tons of premium features, but it also features a premium price tag of $2,200–which makes it a nonstarter for a lot of PC gamers.
However, today only (August 11), Best Buy and Amazon are offering the gorgeous display with a $1,000 price cut, bringing it down to a far more manageable $1,200.

That’s still a lot of money to pay for a monitor, but if you’re looking for a fantastic way to play PC games or need something with incredible multitasking potential–you won’t need a second or third monitor with this on your desk–the Neo G9 is a great choice. The 49-Inch curved display gives you as much screen space as two sizable panels, offers G-Sync and AMD FreeSync for tear-free gaming, and a blistering 240Hz refresh rate.
It also benefits from Samsung’s premium Mini LED Quantum Matrix, which essentially dims different parts of the screen as needed for an optimal viewing experience with deep blacks and bright whites.
As for its overall resolution, it clocks in at a staggering 5,120 x 1,440p–so everything you throw at it will look great (as long as your PC can handle it).
On the back, you’ll find two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, and two USB 3.0 ports. And, as you’d expect, the screen is built with 1000R curvature for improved viewing and should help cut down on eye strain during extended gaming sessions.
This is one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen for the Samsung Odyssey 49-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor, with most other sales discounting it to around $1,600. But now that it’s just $1,200, this might be the time to pull the trigger and upgrade your game room.
